Frequently Asked Questions About Our Automatic Cash Machines
Compatibility and Integrations
Yes. AT·CASH can integrate with different POS software solutions and business management systems through a REST API, connecting the software used by the business with automated cash handling.
Once integrated, payment transactions can be managed directly from the POS software, while AT·CASH receives the instructions and processes cash payments automatically.
You can view the available systems on our integrations page.
If your software is not listed among our existing integrations, you can request an assessment of a new integration.
To start the process, email integrations@automated-transactions.es. We will send you a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and, once signed, provide access to the API and the technical documentation required to begin development.
AT·CASH uses a REST API to communicate with POS software and business management systems, making integration possible with a wide range of solutions.

Operation and Cash Handling

Yes. AT·CASH automatically calculates and dispenses the correct change for each transaction, helping to prevent errors associated with manual calculations and cash handling.
No. AT·CASH automatically records cash movements, eliminating the need for manual cash counting and reconciliation.
Cash reconciliation and end-of-day closing can be managed through the integrated POS software or directly from the AT·CASH touchscreen. This helps streamline the process and reduce counting errors.
AT·CASH provides alerts when the levels of coins or banknotes available for change are running low, allowing staff to replenish cash before it runs out.
If the machine does not have sufficient change to complete a transaction, the payment is automatically cancelled to prevent cash discrepancies.
If the power supply is interrupted during a transaction, AT·CASH stops the process. Once power is restored, the transaction is displayed as cancelled.
The system retains a record of all cash movements completed before the power interruption, ensuring that the cash inventory reflects any money received or dispensed up to that point.
AT·CASH accepts euro banknotes and coins in denominations currently in circulation, allowing cash payments and change dispensing to be managed automatically.
AT·CASH is specifically designed to automate cash handling, including both banknotes and coins.
Card payments and other electronic payment methods are processed independently through the POS system and the corresponding payment terminals. AT·CASH is only involved in cash transactions.
Security and Cash Control
AT·CASH offers different user profiles and access levels, which are configured during installation.
This allows businesses to define who is authorised to access the system and which operations each user can perform.
Additionally, access to the stored cash can be protected with optional security locks specifically designed for the banknote and coin compartments.
AT·CASH incorporates several physical security features designed to protect stored cash and prevent unauthorised access.
These include a reinforced structure, three internal anchoring points, an anti-pry system, concealed hinges and a single-key locking mechanism.
It also features a security mounting base that allows the machine to be securely fixed to the counter, cabinet or surface where it is installed.
Installation, Maintenance and Technical Support
AT·CASH installation and commissioning are managed through our network of authorised distributors.
The relevant distributor contacts the customer to arrange a consultation, assess the business’s requirements and prepare a quotation covering installation and any additional elements required for the machine to operate correctly.
Installing AT·CASH requires a compliant electrical installation and a wired connection to the local network.
AT·CASH maintenance depends on the intensity of use and the number of transactions processed, rather than a fixed monthly or annual schedule.
As a general guideline, maintenance is recommended every 50,000 cycles, which may correspond to approximately six months of operation in a restaurant with average transaction volumes.
During installation, the authorised distributor provides staff with training on how to operate AT·CASH.
The person responsible for the business also receives specific training on procedures such as cash collection and end-of-day cash reconciliation.
In the event of a fault or technical issue, customers should contact the authorised distributor responsible for maintaining their machine.
Technical support is provided through the relevant distributor, in accordance with the terms of the service agreement.
